Artist Biography
I was born in 1987 in Busan, South Korea and raised in Umeå, the north of Sweden. I reunited with my Korean family in 2007 when I was 19 years old. I now speak Korean and travel back to Korea regularly.
I got my BA in Art History and MA in Visual Communication in Stockholm. I live and work in Stockholm and have just started a Ph.D. in Illustration at Konstfack University. My research includes voicing adoptees’ stories of betweenship which has become a theme in my paintings.
